Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Meet the Long Beach Team Behind DryMark Restoration Long Beach
We’re the crew that shows up when your kitchen’s under two inches of water or your crawl space smells like something died in it. Every person on this page is based right here in Long Beach, drives their own truck, and answers their own phone. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s that Alicia Brennan hired each of us personally, and she doesn’t hire people who cut corners on documentation or leave a job before the moisture readings say it’s done.
Our People
Marcus T. - Lead Water Damage Technician
Marcus has been drying buildings in Long Beach for fourteen years, starting when he was twenty-two and thought a moisture meter was just a fancy thermometer. He’s IICRC-certified in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD), which means he can read a psychrometric chart the way most people read a weather app. Marcus specializes in tertiary drying, the final phase where most crews pack up too early and leave trapped moisture behind. He lives in Belmont Shore with his pit bull, Gloria, and he’s the one who will tell you, flat out, that running a dehumidifier in an already-dry room costs money and proves nothing. He’s seen the invoice that proves it.
Elena R. - Senior Mold Remediation Installer
Elena came to us from commercial abatement, where she spent eight years containment-sealing hospitals and schools before deciding residential work had better conversations. She’s certified through the IICRC in Mold Remediation (AMRT) and holds her RIA-registered restoration technician credential. Elena handles our most complex containment builds, the ones where a Long Beach bungalow’s original lath-and-plaster walls can’t come down without a engineered negative-air plan. She speaks Spanish with our families in North Long Beach and Cambodia Town, and she keeps a photo on her phone of her first containment job, a botched DIY remediation in Bixby Knolls that grew to three rooms. She shows it to homeowners who ask if they can just “spray some bleach on it.”
Darnell K. - Service Coordinator & Documentation Lead
Darnell is the voice you get when you call (424) 373-5092 at 2 a.m. and water’s still moving through your hallway. He’s been with DryMark Restoration Long Beach since 2019, and before that he spent six years as a claims processor for a major carrier, which is how he knows exactly what documentation an adjuster needs to turn a restoration invoice into a payable claim. Darnell writes every initial scope, coordinates the photo record on every visit, and makes sure the drying log hits your inbox before the crew leaves. He lives in Lakewood, coaches JV basketball, and has a spreadsheet ranking every breakfast burrito in a ten-mile radius. He will share it if you ask.
Sofia V. - Restoration Apprentice
Sofia joined us in 2023 after finishing her associate degree in construction technology at Long Beach City College. She’s apprenticing across every division, water to fire to biohazard, because Alicia Brennan hires this way on purpose: no one at DryMark Restoration Long Beach works a job they haven’t seen from the ground up. Sofia’s currently certified in OSHA 30 and IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration (FSRT), with her WRT exam scheduled this spring. She grew up in the Wrigley neighborhood, still lives there with her grandmother, and she’s the one who noticed that our Injectidry hose fittings were wearing unevenly because of how the trucks bounce on Anaheim Street. She sketched a better storage rack in her notebook. We’re building it.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard isn’t a slogan we put on the vans. It’s a signed document, Clause 1 through Clause 7, that every customer gets before anyone touches a wall. Across the network, that standard means the same thing in Long Beach as it does anywhere else: a written price before work starts, a photo record on every visit, daily moisture logs documented to IICRC, RIA, and IFA standards, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise stamped and signed, not mentioned over a handshake.
Our crew upholds it because Alicia Brennan built this company in 2011 around the documentation gap that costs homeowners their claims. She was a claims adjuster. She saw invoices get denied because a crew “forgot” to photograph the pre-loss condition, or because a drying log stopped three days early when the insurer was paying for five. She started DryMark Restoration Long Beach to close that gap with people who understand that a documented job is a paid job, and a paid job is a customer who can actually afford to put their house back together.
We don’t do urgency theatre. We don’t do scope creep. We don’t promise same-day reconstruction because reconstruction is scoped, scheduled, and priced in writing like a remodel, not dispatched like an emergency. What we do is answer the phone live, 24 hours a day, send background-checked and uniformed technicians whose license numbers we can produce, and leave you with paperwork that holds up in a claims review. That’s The Haven Standard. That’s who we are.
